A nonprofit organization isn’t wasting any time with Domestic Violence Awareness Month right around the corner.
The Foundation for Appropriate and Immediate Temporary Help (FAITH), is hosting Fashion With Compassion, a fashion and beauty event to raise funds for victims of domestic violence.
The organization, located in Herndon, Va., provides financial, psychological and emotional support to low income families and people in emergency situations — many of which are domestic violence survivors and victims.
Fashion With Compassion will feature style bloggers, boutique fashion designers and makeup artists in Manassas, Va. on Sunday, Sept. 27.
Modest fashion designers Zeena, Gulshaan, Roddiva Coture, B. Zarina and Madeena will showcase their fall collections on the runway.
“We hope that women will come to FWC to support the important work that FAITH does to help empower women to make the choice that is best for them,” says Somayyah Ghariani, fashion show coordinator.
