A local Chapel Hill man shot three Muslim students from North Carolina in the head Tuesday.

Although the Chapel Hill Police Department say the investigation suggests the shooting was motivated by a parking dispute, as reported by the Washington Post, the Council on American Islamic Relations in a statement urged the police to look further into a motive.

The three victims: husband Deah Barakat, 23, wife Yusor Mohammad, 21, and sister Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, 19, are being remembered by their friends, families and the Muslim community through a Facebook page, “Our Three Winners,” created by Barakat’s brother Farris.

Others took to Twitter and Facebook to express their outrage on the lack of media coverage with the hashtag #MuslimLivesMatter.
